Santander UK launches cash management platform with Infosys Finacle
Santander UK has launched a new cash management platform, part of its ongoing digital transformation, based on Infosys Finacle technology.
Santander Global Connect is designed to support international growth plans for the bank’s corporate and commercial customers.
The first phase of the launch provides users with a view of their liquidity held globally. Later releases will add self-service digital capabilities to “manage, control, and mitigate” cash and business risk.
Global Connect is powered by Infosys Finacle’s Cash Management Suite, with additional modules from Finacle Digital Engagement Hub, Finacle Online Banking, Finacle Payments, and Finacle Liquidity Management.
It will offer a centralised multi-bank information portal with a consolidated view of cash positions, account and transaction-level reporting, and country-level visibility of foreign currency.
John Carroll, head of international and transaction banking at Santander, says the new platform allows his bank to support UK businesses “of all sizes”.
He adds: “It will also help us to develop and grow relationships with existing customers and support the international growth needs of new customers.
“By collaborating with Finacle, we’re able to offer our customers a crucial tool to support both them and our own international banking strategy.”
