About your hosts:
Dave Wallace is a true digital native and industry legend! He regularly writes for FinTech Futures on the subject of customer centricity.
With over 25 years of experience in the fintech industry, Dave is a force to be reckoned with. Throughout his career, Dave has been obsessed with helping brands connect effectively with their customers through digital channels. He’s a master at understanding customer behaviours and motivations, and his expertise has helped brands like HSBC, RBS, Manulife, and ANZ develop and implement digital strategies that put the customer first.
He started his career in the mid 1990s, helping Yellow Pages get online and paving the way for the digital revolution.
Dave’s passion for the customer experience led him to found HeathWallace, a specialist agency that helped banks and other blue-chip clients deliver customer-friendly digital services. He grew HeathWallace into an international powerhouse, with offices in the US, Asia, and Australia. In 2008, he sold HeathWallace to WPP and after ten successful years as part of the group set his sights on his next venture.
Enter NMD+, Dave’s latest business venture that’s focused on developing customer-centric mobile propositions that add true value to the end customer, with clients including Unifimoney, Aviva, First Abu Dhabi Bank, and St. James’s Wealth Management, to name just a few.

Dharmesh Mistry is a technologist and business engineer, he loves nothing more than using technology to solve real business problems or to create new business models. His regular column for FinTech Futures focuses on digital and core banking systems.
He started digitising banks in the late 1980s. At Lloyds Bank he was involved in its very first branch applications based on Windows 2.0 ! He created the vision for single customer view for the bank before moving to NatWest. Here, he created and presented the concept of “franchising banking” in 1995, in today’s terminology this was Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS).
He went on to help create the UK’s first e-commerce full service agency where he delivered the first multi-channel internet bank developed in Java, the UK’s first mobile banking application and the world’s first online insurance quote and buy platform… all before the year 2000!
Dharm went onto co-found Edge IPK – the company that pioneered the creation of a low code/no code user experience platform (UXP) for multi-channel application development. Edge IPK was bought by Temenos where he became its first chief digital officer. As part of his role he created the plan to split Temenos’ core banking platform into a product core (core banking) and a digital platform for managing omnichannel customer engagement.
Dharm also founded AskHomey, a proptech platform that helps households manage their homes, which was sold to a private investor in spring 2023.
