Sèvis Finansye Fonkoze upgrades core systems with Temenos and SG NewTech
Haitian microfinance firm, Sèvis Finansye Fonkoze (SFF), is upgrading its Temenos core banking platform and installing a suite of new systems.
SFF currently deploys Temenos Inclusive Banking System (IBS), a lighter version of the vendor’s flagship core platform T24 Transact.
IBS is designed or smaller financial institutions. Its usual takers are microfinance banks, mortgage bank and smaller asset managers.
SFF is upgrading to IBS version R19 (from R12, which it acquired back in 2013) with the help of local Temenos partner SG NewTech. It will also deploy NewTech’s Digiwave banking platform and integration software.
“We needed an experienced partner to work with us in our technology evolution journey,” says Dominique Boyer, SFF’s CEO.
“SG NewTech came highly recommended. Their expertise and solutions are very relevant to our needs. We look forward to a successful project with them”.
SFF is part of Fonkoze, Haiti’s largest microfinance institution serving the poor and ultra-poor. The group has 44 branches across the country.
The name Fonkoze is an acronym for the Haitian Creole phrase “Fondasyon Kole Zepòl” meaning “Shoulder-to-Shoulder Foundation”.
