Job Description
This is a project management role where the person will be working with a number of different stakeholders across PA. Typically, these projects will be either software package implementations or in-house bespoke software developments. Within this role, the person will be expected to:

• Develop strong, credible working relationships with PA stakeholders that are critical to the delivery of the projects
• Develop high level business cases for the projects
• Use a range of methods to deliver the projects .e.g. waterfall or Agile
• Develop detailed plans for application projects including providing options for both delivery and implementation including: objectives and benefits of the project scope high level delivery and implementation plans including change management, costs, risk mitigation
• Work closely with the architecture team throughout the project to ensure that the solution meets current and future business and IT needs
• Work closely with PA’s delivery partners to deliver the project. This includes managing the relationship with the supplier to both agree a project contract with the supplier and ensure that the project is delivered in line with the agreed contract. This will require the person
• Proactively manage the project to ensure that it is delivered in-line with the plan agreed with the project’s stakeholders. Examples of working pro-actively include: ensure the project team members can work effectively as possible removing roadblocks where required use an understanding of customer priorities and the technical content of the project to manage the detailed delivery tasks use knowledge of the productivity of the team vs. the project requirements to balance delivery work with stakeholders within PA to socialise change in advance of it happening e.g. the business to ensure they are engaged during the change or IT Operations to manage IT technical changes through the Change Board

Job Requirements
• Experience of delivering software package implementations or in-house bespoke software developments
• Strong people skills including managing a software development team
• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
