Wolters Kluwer signs new client in Poland, Bank Pocztowy
Poland-based Bank Pocztowy is implementing a new risk management system, OneSumX, supplied by Wolters Kluwer.
The solution will support the following areas: asset and liability management (ALM), market risk, liquidity risk, and credit risk (for the Basel III capital charges calculation).
The bank will also use Wolters Kluwer to provide funds transfer pricing (FTP) analysis and stress testing.
OneSumX is positioned as a “truly enterprise-wide risk solution” by Wolters Kluwer. It is an amalgamation of a number of specialist systems acquired over the years.
“We required a provider who inherently understands the myriad of risk management obligations today’s banks face,” says Magdalena Nawara, director of Bank Pocztowy’s risk management division.
Wolters Kluwer is already the bank’s long-standing software supplier.
“We are taking a fully automated approach with daily risk management and profitability calculations and monthly analysis for Basel III,” Nawara states.
Kris Van Bavel, vice-president, EMEA sales at Wolters Kluwer, observes that the vendor “has enjoyed considerable success across EMEA with our OneSumX solution in recent months”.
In Poland, the vendor has Bank BGZ BNP Paribas and DNB (as part of a multi-country roll-out) on its client list.
