UK embedded finance provider Weavr promotes Jon Burrell to deputy CEO
Weavr, a Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) solutions provider based in the UK, has promoted its COO, Jon Burrell, to the position of deputy CEO.

Weavr names Jon Burrell as deputy CEO
Led by CEO and co-founder Alex Mifsud, Weavr operates an embedded finance platform that allows businesses to integrate financial services into their products.
Its suite includes solutions for employee benefits, expenses management, accounts payable and SaaS subscriptions. The company is currently backed by the likes of Tiger Global, QED Investors, Anthemis and Seedcamp, among others.
Commenting on his appointment, Burrell says: “Today, most businesses store their data and build their workflows on SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), and increasingly they want their financial services to be part of these workflows.
“My goal at Weavr is to help realise our vision of making it easy and safe for B2B SaaS to embed financial features their customers need.”
Burrell initially joined the company in September last year from financial data fintech Codat, where he is said to have served a “key role” in the company’s post-Series A fundraising efforts.
Prior to this, he worked for over four years scaling teams at CurrencyCloud, most recently serving as global VP of operations and head of compliance.
