Solifi appoints Backbase’s Karan Oberoi as new chief product officer
Solifi, a fintech software provider for secured finance, has named former Backbase executive Karan Oberoi as its new chief product officer (CPO), effective immediately.

In his new position, Oberoi will be responsible for Solifi’s global product team, driving innovation across its automotive, equipment, working capital, and wholesale finance solutions, which the company claims serve over 300 clients worldwide.
Oberoi brings 17 years of experience, most recently serving as CPO at Dutch banking tech provider Backbase since July 2021.
His background also includes a five-year tenures at T-Mobile, where he led various product initiatives, as well as US paytech giant Diebold Nixdorf, overseeing global domains in cybersecurity and big data analytics.
Founded in 2021, Solifi offers cloud-based software solutions for asset finance portfolio management. Oberoi’s appointment follows the company’s recent undisclosed majority investment from Boston-based private equity firm TA Associates, aimed at expanding into new markets through mergers and acquisitions and enhancing its product offerings.
In addition to Oberoi’s hiring, Solifi has been undergoing a leadership change in 2025, with Dan Corazzi appointed as CEO in January, succeeding David Hamilton, who transitioned to the role of chairman after seven years.
