Natech Banking Solutions hires new CTO and CPO with plans to “expand internationally”
Natech Banking Solutions, a core banking software vendor based in Ioannina, Greece, has hired George Nikolaropoulos as its new chief technology officer (CTO), while George Rogkakos has been promoted to chief product officer (CPO).

George Nikolaropoulos joins Natech as CTO
The new CTO will focus on enhancing Natech’s modular banking platform, and expanding its “cloud-native capabilities”, according to a company statement. In comments, Nikolaropoulos confirms that this proposed enhancement will include “scaling our engineering teams”.
Nikolaropoulos joins directly from consumer research firm GlobalWebIndex (GWI), where over a six-year career, he most recently served as senior VP of engineering and country lead for Greece and Czechia.
Meanwhile, Rogkakos has now assumed the role of CPO, a new position created by Natech as part of its “shift towards a product-first strategy”.
Rogkakos has worked across a variety of leadership positions since first joining the vendor as a software engineer back in 2014, including chief innovation officer and products director.
Natech says that the new CPO will “lead the company’s product vision”, which notably included the launch of neobank Snappi in Greece through a partnership with Athens-headquartered Piraeus Bank and Neptune International last April.
The venture went on to secure a universal banking licence from the European Central Bank (ECB) three months later.
Following this development, Natech plans to leverage its two latest appointments, which “complete our executive structure,” says CEO and president Thansis Navrozoglou, to “scale faster, enhance its technology roadmap, and expand internationally”.
