In his new position, Mrotzek will be responsible for Finova’s operational resilience, managed services, and security and risk functions, drawing on his experience at the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Bank of England to reinforce the fintech’s regulatory practices.
Mrotzek brings over four years of experience from Redwood Bank, in addition to serving in senior roles at Barclays, Citi, HSBC, and Accenture. He also held a delivery management position at Lloyds Banking Group’s SME and Mid-Market Business Management unit.
Founded in 1996, Finova claims to be the UK’s largest cloud-based mortgages and savings software vendor, serving more than 3,500 mortgage brokers, 200 financial institutions, and 60 leading lenders.
Mrotzek is the latest addition to Finova’s leadership team, following the appointments of Paraag Davé as CEO and Rowan Clayton as chief product officer in December.
The leadership transition comes just months after Finova’s acquisition by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities (BCTO) and its subsequent merger with Iress’ UK Mortgage Sales and Originations (MSO) business.
