UK fintech Behavox acquires market analytics firm Mosaic Smart Data
Behavox, a compliance and security software company based in the UK, has announced its acquisition of Mosaic Smart Data, completed in December 2024, with the integration of both firms being “well underway and ahead of schedule”, according to a statement on the deal. Terms have not been disclosed.

Behavox acquires Mosaic Smart Data for an undisclosed sum
Founded in 2014 by former Deutsche Bank MD Matthew Hodgson, Mosaic Smart Data harnesses advanced AI models to aggregate transaction data and provide capital markets institutions with actionable insights for Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) markets.
With operations spanning five continents, Mosaic Smart Data is backed by the likes of CommerzVentures, Octopus Ventures, and JP Morgan – one of its marquee clients alongside ING.
Since the acquisition, Behavox has been working to integrate the capabilities of Mosaic Smart Data into its suite of enterprise risk and compliance solutions.
This suite includes an electronic communication surveillance offering called Quantum, Pathfinder, an AI-powered knowledge and policy management system, a regulatory archiving solution called Intelligent Archive, and a front-office analytics solutions for FICC teams made possible through Mosaic Smart Data.
Additionally, Behavox is now in the process of developing a new Trade Surveillance offering based on its latest purchase. The solution is “going through customer testing pending release in 2H of 2025”, the company states.
This expansion follows Behavox’s $70 million credit facility secured with Hercules Capital in October, alongside a 44.06% year-on-year ARR growth in 2024.
