Puerto Rican credit union CACSI taps Sharetec for core system upgrade
Puerto Rican credit union Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito de Santa Isabel (CACSI) has selected US-based software provider Sharetec to upgrade its core system.

CACSI adopts Sharetec’s Velocity platform
As part of a deal signed towards the end of last year, CACSI will adopt the vendor’s Velocity platform, joining institutions like Regional Federal Credit Union and North Bay Credit Union in deploying the web-based solution to drive digital transformation.
Founded in 1954, CACSI operates two branches in Puerto Rico, offering a range of car, personal, and mortgage loans, as well as credit cards, and home banking services.
Velocity will enable the credit union to “complete routine tasks”, such as loan processing, and will provide an advanced analytics suite, according to Sharetec.
“Having the KPIs in real-time is a great advantage for decision-making,” comments CACSI executive president, Vivian Morales Cruz, highlighting the benefit of “having all the members’ information on a single screen”.
The deal was supported by local tech company COSTEC, which has remained a Sharetec sales agent since 2013.
