Nuvei hires former Finaro and PwC execs to lead product and risk teams
Canadian payments processor Nuvei has bolstered its C-Suite with the additions of Moshe Selfin as chief product officer (CPO) and Chad Gerhardstein in the newly created role of chief risk and compliance officer (CRCO).

Canada-based Nuvei names new CPO and CRCO
Selfin, who will be reporting directly to Nuvei CEO and chair Philip Fayer, previously served as chief operations and technology officer at Finaro, a cross-border payments provider acquired by Shift4 for $575 million in 2022.
With a background that includes senior roles at IBM, Anobit Technologies, and Kaminario, Selfin is set to focus on enhancing Nuvei’s payment solutions suite and extending the “global reach of its technology stack”.
Meanwhile, Gerhardstein joins from PwC, where he led cyber risk and regulation for the fintech, payments, and digital assets sectors since 2020.
In total, Gerhardstein brings nearly 25 years of experience in senior risk management and compliance roles, acting as the chief compliance officer at WorldPay for two years, as well as head of risk and compliance at Vantiv between 2016 and 2018.
The leadership expansion follows hot on the heels of Nuvei’s acquisitions of Paywiser’s Japanese subsidiary and Pay2All, as the firm aims to strengthen its foothold in the Brazilian and APAC markets.
Founded in 2003, Nuvei provides a range of omnichannel payment solutions, real-time payments, global acquiring, and more, claiming to connect businesses with customers in over 200 markets.
