In a statement, Monument says its latest hire will “spearhead the development of AI-driven and cloud-based financial products tailored to meet the unique needs of the mass affluent market”.
Bohannon previously worked at Virgin Media O2 as director of digital technology. Prior to this, he spent over seven years at McKinsey & Company, holding several digital leadership roles including senior director of software and cloud engineering, and three years as a senior analyst in the commodities eDealing unit at Goldman Sachs.
The incoming CTO’s appointment comes just months after Monument reported reaching £5 billion in client deposits, marking a 500% growth over 2024.
The bank, which primarily offers savings accounts, secured £40 million in Series B funding in November 2023 to fuel the launch of new products, such as a Cash ISA and its Membership programme, both rolled out in the last couple of months.
