Monument Technology names new non-executive chair
Monument Technology says its latest hire will “play a vital role” in shaping its strategic direction alongside the executive team, with an emphasis on “strengthening relationships with potential clients and investors”.
Featherstone is expected to leverage 30 years of experience in banking and financing services in his leadership of Monument Technology’s board.
This experience includes a four-year tenure as managing director of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance, followed by another four years as global CEO of SME funding provider Bibby Financial Services, among others.
In addition to his new role at Monument Technology, Featherstone is also a non-executive chair of SilverRock Bank, and serves as an independent non-executive director and chair of risk to Oxbury Bank.
Founded in 2023, Monument Technology commercialises the cloud-based banking platform used to power its parent company, in an offering it describes as an “everything in one solution”.
Led by CEO Steve Britain – one of the latest participants of FinTech Futures‘ Demystify Podcast – the company claims its homegrown technology has enabled Monument Bank to scale its balance sheet from £1 billion to £5 billion in the space of a single year.
Featherstone joins a host of recent senior leadership additions, including Diptesh Mishra as chief technology officer (CTO) and Nick Lawler as chief commercial officer (CCO) in November.
