2C2P has been majority owned by Ant International since 2022, and has subsequently integrated with the group’s business payment solutions unit Antom.
Notable initiatives from the two companies include business accounts with local and cross-border payout features and enhanced cross-border settlements through Ant International’s Platform Tech division.
Ant International states that the integration resulted in the total payment volume (TPV) generated from Antom core merchants growing “more than ten times”, while 2C2P’s annual acquiring payment volume has “nearly doubled”.
This growth, it adds, came from various business sectors across Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.
Luxkanalode moves directly from super-app and ride-hailing company Grab, where he has headed operations in Thailand since 2019. Prior to this, he worked for Krungsri, Thailand’s fifth largest bank by assets, and Bangkok Bank during a 17-year career in financial services.
In overseeing the business’s strategy and operations, the new CEO has been tasked with leading 2C2P’s “strategic upgrade from mainly serving enterprise customers to businesses of all sizes including SMEs across the Southeast Asia region”.
