Todd succeeds the role from board chair James Fox, who assumed the position on an interim basis upon the resignation of co-founder Bill Crager in January last year.
Headquartered in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, Envestnet provides integrated technology, data and wealth solutions to more than 111,000 financial advisers, wealth managers, registered investment advisers and broker-dealers.
With over $6.5 trillion in assets, the company’s platform supports functions for reporting, trading, client relationship management (CRM), financial planning, lending and business intelligence, among other capabilities.
The company was acquired by Bain Capital last year in a $4.5 billion deal.
Todd joins the company following a four-year tenure at US software giant Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), where he served first as president and then CEO.
UKG was formed through the 2020 merger between Ultimate Software and human capital management (HCM) solutions provider Kronos Incorporated, where Todd previously served as president.
