The tech subsidiary is seeking talent with expertise in cloud computing, AI, data engineering, backend and frontend software development, and data security, among other areas, as it looks to bolster its digital transformation and keep up to date with the ever-evolving tech landscape.
CaixaBank says the hiring plan includes “”significant growth” at its Seville technology hub, which focuses on software development, with the aim to increase its 40-person team to 200. CaixaBank Tech also has offices in Barcelona and Madrid.
According to a statement, CaixaBank says the “selection process” for its new hires is “already underway”. Moving forward, the bank says it aims to expand CaixaBank Tech’s workforce to over 2,000 “within the next three years”.
The news aligns with the Spanish banking group’s broader digital strategy. With over 11 million digital banking users, CaixaBank revealed plans last November to invest €5 billion in technology over the next three years while continuing to push new tech integration, including generative AI.
