Post Office Employees’ Credit Union picks Sharetec for core banking upgrade
Post Office Employees’ Credit Union (POECU) has selected US banking technology provider Sharetec to enhance its core banking software.

POECU picks Sharetec for core upgrade
Sharetec’s web-based core processing solution is expected to improve access to third-party vendors for the credit union, and “boost the efficiencies, capabilities, and experience of both POECU’s staff and membership”, the vendor states.
This experience will include the introduction of e-signatures, e-notifications, and according to POECU CEO Michelle Duhe, “shared branching and BSA and AML regulatory monitoring”.
Prior to the switch, the credit union is understood to have relied on printed paper receipts and mailed member notifications.
Founded in 1924 by employees of the US Postal Service in New Orleans, POECU expanded to two more branches in the Greater New Orleans Area after merging with Homeland FCU in 2016. It offers a variety of loans, mortgages, savings accounts, and a Visa-powered credit card.
With its new partnership, POECU joins Sharetec’s growing client list of over 280 credit unions, including Autotruck Financial Credit Union, North Bay Credit Union, and Regional Federal Credit Union.
