Sharma moves from Amazon’s Audible, and succeeds Rick Kenneally, who retired at the end of last year after serving the role since 2020.
At Audible, the incoming CTO most recently served as a software development manager, where he led advanced recommender model initiatives and fraud prevention systems.
Prior to this role, Sharma spent over a decade working various leadership roles at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).
At Boost, Sharma is expected to leverage his experience “implementing scalable cloud architectures, data strategies, and AI-driven solutions” to “modernise and automate” the firm’s payment processes while also “strengthening data governance, quality, and security measures”.
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in New York, Boost provides B2B accounts payable and receivable solutions across more than 180 countries, alongside a variety of commercial card issuer programmes.
Speaking on the company’s plans going forward, Sharma comments: “In 2025 and beyond, we’re committed to helping enterprises overcome the challenges of commercial card use and acceptance while maximising the benefits associated with that payment modality.”
