Paysafe partners with Gala Technology to open SOTpay channel
Paysafe Group has announced a partnership with Gala Technology to enable its merchant customers to process transactions through a new channel.
Yorkshire-based Gala Technology is the firm behind cardholder not present (CNP) solution SOTpay, which enables cardholders to complete payments through a device.
Paysafe says the new partnership support its in providing its merchants with the ability to process secure and PCI DSS compliant payment transactions across a number of channels including telephone, email, SMS and social media platforms.
“Our product portfolio is consistently evolving and these unprecedented times have prompted demand for new, alternative ways to pay and accept payments,” says Garreth Dorree, head of acquiring for Europe at Paysafe.
“We’re pleased to be working with Gala Technology to respond to this shift.”
For Steven Jones, Gala Technology commercial director, the deal represents a chance to display the effectiveness of its platform.
“Our cloud-based technology does not require any additional hardware or integration, or any amends to existing telephony and network infrastructure, which means that deployment can be swift and incredibly cost effective.”
He adds: “We are thrilled to partner with Paysafe to help provide their merchants with secure and PCI DSS compliant transactions across multiple channels.”
Paysafe claims to process annualised transaction volumes of over $85 billion and supports 200 payment types in over 40 currencies.
Earlier this year, the firm bagged a new CTO, pinching Sujit Unni from Barclays. The new CTO believes Paysafe has “a really clear technology vision”.
At the top of the year the firm’s eCash solution was added by Google to six Google Pay Stores, including Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, and the Netherlands.
