Banpro launches Finn.ai’s first Spanish-speaking virtual banking assistant
Nicaragua’s largest bank, Banpro, has recruited a Canada-based banking tech firm, Finn.ai, to provide it with a virtual banking assistant. The result is Finn.ai’s first Spanish-speaking offering, available via Facebook Messenger.
“By partnering with Finn.ai, we were able to deliver a conversational banking model that our customers can use to easily manage their money via their favourite platform – Facebook Messenger,” says Julio Ramirez, EVP of Banpro.
Over 50% of Nicaraguans use Facebook daily.
Ramirez adds the vendor was selected based on its “domain knowledge of banking” and its “commitment to deliver a fluently Spanish virtual assistant”.
The Finn.ai chatbot will enable Banpro’s customers to get answers to common questions, find a branch, and view current account balances as well as recent transaction history – all within the Facebook Messenger platform. It will also allow them to conversationally engage with the virtual assistant to inquire about bank products and services, and other bank information.
